meditation is key…
thank you for your willingness and commitment to yourself and your beautiful journey.
meditation is a huge part of my life and my practice though it wasn’t always the case.
for the longest time I struggled with consistently practicing, or building a practice of meditation. I struggled with finding a practice that suited me, that I liked doing. I wanted to meditate though nothing really seemed right for me.
then, I had a friend reach out and offer to teach me Kelee meditation. I sat with her and learnt this form of meditation and all of a sudden, it clicked. I had found my practice. It took me a few months to settle into my daily routine and practice and now, I could not imagine a day I don’t do some form of meditation.
understand this, meditation can look different each day, this is why it is a practice. the aim is to live your life within harmony, or a meditative state where you feel a sense of presence in every moment.
meditation can look like silent meditation, guided or listening to frequency music, it can be in nature, open or closed eyes. It can be the act of being present in your day-day activities.
still, to this day, I practice Kelee meditation.
this is an introduction to Kelee meditation, which is one form of meditation and how I learned to practice at the beginning of my path.
Kelee is a Sanskrit/Greek/Hebrew word for vessel or container, and when we feel our feelings and emotions ‘well’ up it is from our generous vessel of our kelee. we can also refer to this space as our heartspace.
the Kelee practice is only to take you 5-10min each day (you can do morning and night if you choose to) and brings forth such a sense of peace and calm that you sense after time how you are no longer effected by conversations or other people around you. This meditation also supports stillness, which as a practice is amazing for our nervous system, regulating our emotions, dialling back the need to speak all thoughts that come to our mind and self realisation of how much of our world controls us and our thoughts rather than the other way around. Over time, releasing of stuck and stagnant energy, emotions, “compartments” allows more space within your being for healing, transformation and change in regard to your inner world.
no more hiding from who you are, or trying to push it down, this is allowing space for you to feel all of the emotions you have within you.
the practice of Kelee meditation -
step one - approx 2 minutes
sit down and get comfortable, sit with a straight back and your crown to the sky. begin by relaxing your brain activity. bring your conscious awareness to the top of your head at your crown and feel it as a horizontal plane of awareness relaxing down through both hemispheres of the brain to the surface of your mind. be consciously relaxed, and not thinking. the surface of your mind is eye level, allow your conscious awareness to settle here for a minute or so.
step two - approx 3 minutes
relax and allow your awareness to drop below the surface of your mind into your greater Kelee (heart space) to a still point within. hold your awareness here, and the aim is to let go of your sense of consciousness and experience total stillness before returning to full consciousness.
stillness allowing for what this feels like in your body. If at any time you feel your conscious awareness float back up to your mind, bring this awareness gently back to your greater Kelee.
note - before you drop from the surface of your mind, set your biological clock to bring you back to complete awareness in about 3 minutes.
step three - approx 5 minutes
upon returning to the surface of your mind, reflect on what you have noticed about your practice. what feelings, thoughts, emotions arose for you? Write them down in your notebook or journal, just a few lines - one for the lesser Kelee (the mind), one for the greater Kelee (the heart space).
do not race into your day, pace yourself, do your practice in the morning or evening, or both if you so wish to. do the practice to the best of your ability and get into the experience of your life. allow the true nature of your being to unfold.

below is the website for the Kelee meditation and some history on the founder Ron Rathburn.
think about every memory, every moment, every trauma you have experienced being stored as a compartment filed away in your subconscious mind. every time somethings comes up for you, something that “triggers” this memory you react or respond from this compartment.
this is automatic and not something we consciously think about.
what this meditation allows for is the release of these compartments.
so, when you do this meditation and journal your experiences afterwards, note down any tension or pressure you feel and where you are feeling it. for example - tension behind the left eye, at the base of the skull or the crown. over time these will become more and more apparent and will correlate with memories or thoughts that come up for you during the meditation.
the tension you experience is a form of release.
so the more that this meditation practice is done, the more compartments are released, the less affected you are by things outside of yourself, the less certain people or situations bother you, the less “triggers” you have.
this takes time, and is not something to be rushed through, journalling helps to navigate these releases and allows for you to verbalise in the moment how it is happening for you.
to be free from all that is holding you back, we may not even know the simple little switches that are holding us back and this is a way of you growing and expanding and being the master & creator of your universe within.
